Love. This, my second holographic polish, just feeds my need to immediately buy every holo I can find. It’s gorgeous, I can’t stop wiggling my fingers in the light. The base color is very very pretty also – I think I might try to franken a non-holo version soon.

So last night I was looking for something to put over top of my Barielle Never-So-Evergreen polish because I hadn’t had time to change it in a few days (gasp!), and I couldn’t decide between China Glaze Fairy Dust and China Glaze Golden Enchantment. And here they are! Ooooooooh, pretty!!
It occurred to me that they’re so similar, it might not even make a difference which I choose. I mean, in the bottle, they’re obviously completely different, but they’re also both holo glitter in a clear base – how different can they really be on the nail?
This is one coat of each:
The glitter in Fairy Dust is somehow much more dense than the glitter in Golden Enchantment. And, really, not much different at all. So I kept on adding coats:

I didn’t get a chance to take pictures of this in the sun today, so these photos are kind of useless. 😦
It’s difficult for me to describe the color. In some lights it’s totally a shimmery brown, and in others it’s completely grey with speckles. And then…and THEN. I step out into the sun, and my nails are full of sparkles and rainbows and I can’t stop wiggling my fingers!

My goodness, I am on a roll with the awesome polishes lately!
Slate Of Affairs is like…a slate blue with grey tones that shimmers bright blue. I love it.
One thing I’ve noticed about these new Barielles is that some of them are super thick and hard to control. Of course, some others are wonderfully runny (the way I prefer them) and those apply beautifully. Anyway, this was one of the bad ones – it took three coats and I still had a few sort of bald spots.
Of course…I just couldn’t leave this beaautiful polish alone. I happened to go shopping today (it’s ok though, Sally’s giftcards totally don’t count) and I picked up…China Glaze Fairy Dust, among other things.
I’d never heard of this polish before, and I don’t understand why because it’s gorgeous! It’s very very fine holo glitter in a clear base, and I needed to try it out today!

This is my only holo…but now that I know how awesome it is, I am going to have to start calling it my first holo. Actually the only reason I bought this was for Konading, and it’s great for that, but it’s also just amazingly shimmery and beautiful. It’s like, just as flashy as a glitter, but not as in-your-face, and also not as much trouble to apply and remove. I love this!
